Ohio School Bus Crash Leaves At Least 12 Students, Drivers Injured

A school bus accident in Ohio left at least 12 students and two adults injured on Thursday, Fox4KC.com reported.

The crash occurred in Cleveland around 7:30 a.m., resulting in both bus drivers and 12 students being taken to the hospital. According to Cleveland.com, Cleveland Metropolitan School District CEO Eric Gordon said no one suffered serious injuries.

"It sounds as if everyone is safe and that we have only minor injuries," Gordon said.

The cause the of accident is unclear and an investigation is underway.

Lorenzo Marks, who attends Daniel E. Morgan Elementary School, recalled the accident to Fox19.com.

"My bus driver fell out the window in the curve, then my bus crashed," Marks said. "And I had to jump over the cushions with the glass."

"I was scared and brave," he added. "When I hit my head on the window, I didn't cry."

In Florida, a school bus crash occurred on Thursday after a pickup truck struck the bus in Thonotosassa near an intersection, according to officials with the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

A total of 14 students from Armwood High School, in addition to the pickup truck driver, were transported to the hospital after complaining of neck pain.

The bus driver was also taken to the hospital by a family member with unspecified injuries.

As officials investigate the scene, Highway 579 was closed down in both directions.
