Miley Cyrus has suffered another health setback, just one week after being released from the hospital due to an allergic reaction to the antibiotic Cephalexin.
E! Online reported that the "Wrecking Ball" singer was forced to cancel her concert in Amsterdam this weekend, after suffering a "health setback." Cyrus is reportedly battling the same symptoms that led her to the hospital on April 15.
"Cyrus is continuing to recover from the severe allergic reaction she suffered on April 15," an official statement from Cyrus' representative read. "After a period of improvement, Cyrus' symptoms have returned and doctors will not permit her to travel... Cyrus must remain under doctor's care at this time. The London date at O2 Arena will proceed as planned on May 6th."
E! Online reported that Cyrus' Friday and Saturday shows in Amsterdam and Antwerp have been rescheduled for June 20 and 22.
The 21-year-old was first hospitalized in Kansas City, Mo., after suffering from a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics she had been taking for a sinus infection. Cyrus' reaction forced her to postpone the start of her European tour.
During an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Monday, Cyrus told the radio host that while on the road for her Bangerz tour she was prescribed medication for the flu, which landed her in the hospital.
Cyrus said: "It was so scary. When you're allergic to something, you're literally poisoning yourself, so I had just been poisoning myself for a week with something I didn't know I was really, scary allergic to."
After being discharged, Cyrus planned on getting back on the road. Cyrus is also expected to postpone her show at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Belgium, on Sunday.
Cyrus tweeted pictures from her previous hospital stint, but the singer has not yet commented on the situation. A source close to the singer said "(She) had a health setback and her allergic reaction issues have returned. Miley is very bummed about it."
