Naya Rivera Leaving Glee, Dropped From Columbia Records? Actress' New Musical Career Could be Headed South (VIDEO)

First Glee, now Columbia records - Naya Rivera's career could be headed south.

Billboard reported that according to multiple sources, Rivera has been dropped from Columbia Records after signing with the label in 2011. Rivera, who plays Santana Lopez on the hit Fox series, was one of the first "Glee" stars to land her own solo record contract.

The 27-year-old actress-turned-singer never released a full-length album with the label. Rivera released her debut single "Sorry," featuring ex-fiancé hip-hop artist Big Sean, in September. But the track failed to make the Billboard's Hot 100 and has sold 34,000 downloads to date.

According to E! News, Rivera's rep denied the rumors and stated, "The newest story claiming that Naya Rivera was dropped from her recording contract with Columbia Records is absolutely false. If the 'news' outlets who put out this story had bothered to contact anyone from her team they would have learned this was false. To be clear, any rumors or statements made as fact, that Naya Rivera was fired or let go from Glee or dropped from her recording contract, are categorically false. Someone obviously has an agenda to damage Naya's good name and the media are failing at their duty to responsibly vet their sources and verify what is true and what is not. Naya's attorneys are prepared to take any and all legal action to enforce and protect her rights."

The singer is not the only "Glee" star signed to Columbia records. Lea Michelle released her debut studio album "Louder" in February 2014. The album debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. Darren Criss and Amber Riley are also both signed to Columbia.

Rivera is reportedly fighting rumors claiming that she has been fired from the FOX series due to an ongoing feud with co-star Michele. Other reports suggest that she was fired from the show, following a disagreement with producers.

A representative for the actress told The Hollywood Reporter that reports of Rivera's firing are "absolutely untrue." Rivera's character has been written out of the season finale but has not been let go from the show completely.

There are no reports on whether the actress will be involved in "Glee's" sixth and final season.
