Facing elimination in Game 6, Oklahoma City needed a win. The Thunder didn't just win - they blew out Memphis, 104-84. Thunder star Kevin Durant scored a game-high 36 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and guard Russell Westbrook added 25 points and nine rebounds.

"You don't get to (Durant's) level as an NBA player and a great player as he is to have other people motivate you," Thunder coach Scott Brooks told the Associated Press after the game. "He's self-motivated. He's a tremendous kid and does everything for his team, for our organization. We're proud of him because he gives everything he has. That was the only focus for tonight's game."

Memphis will be shorthanded heading into Saturday. Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph is suspended for Game 7 after an altercation with Thunder center Steven Adams, and while Grizzlies guard Mike Conley expects to play, a strained right hamstring may limit Conley.

"Me being banged up, you're going to have to ask more out of different guys, see a lot of guys step up," Conley said. "We're still excited and confident going into tomorrow's game, regardless of injuries and how last night's game went."

The Thunder's defense limited Memphis to just four players who scored more than 10 points. The Grizzlies' high scorer was center Marc Gasol, who logged 17 points.
