Shots Fired At Dayton VA Medical Center In Ohio; Authorities Searching For Gunman

A gunman opened fired at a VA center in Dayton, Ohio on Monday, injuring at least one person, USA TODAY reported.

The Dayton VA Medical Center is currently on lockdown. Authorities are searching for a suspect who was driving a GM truck with license plates that said "disabled vet."

One police officer was heard on the police scanner saying the suspect "came in looking for someone else to do harm to, didn't find him and fired at this guy."

The victim's injuries are not life-threatening, the officer said.

Two SWAT teams are currently searching the center for the suspect and evacuating people. Additionally, FBI agents have also arrived at the center.

Police have surrounded a home in Trotwood, according to WDTN-TV. However, the suspect has not been identified.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has closed down all roads leading to the center's campus. According to WCPO-TV, officers were seen searching underneath cars in the parking lot.
