Don't start calling her Mrs. West yet - reports suggesting that the couple is already married are false, according to People magazine.
Life & Style reported that the couple obtained their wedding license in California, with plans to get married last week. Assuming that's true, the couple would have married before their rumored Paris wedding date of May 24.
"Kim and Kanye are now married on paper," a source told Life & Style magazine on May 4. "They got their license in California over the past few days. Kim and North are on their way to NYC now."
However, a source told People magazine that that the 33-year-old "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" reality star is still a "bride-to-be." An insider added that the couple has not yet applied for a marriage license - the couple would need to have "a civil ceremony to acquire their marriage license" in the United States before they can get married overseas, according to E! News.
Kardashian, who married Kris Humphries in August 2011 and divorced 72 days later, recently told Vogue magazine that she is planning a more intimate ceremony - keeping the guest list to two hundred of the couple's closest friends.
The mother of 11-month-old North told ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, that West is very involved in planning the wedding.
"I know they think or they say that the guy doesn't care or just shows up, but Kanye really cares and he's really passionate about it, so that makes my job so much easier," she told Kimmel. "He knows what he wants and I love that about him."
Before walking down the aisle the couple is scheduled to attend the New York City annual Met Costume Institute Gala on May 5.
