Fisherman Discovers Live Green Tree Frog Inside Throat Of Fish (PHOTOS)

Fisherman are usually ecstatic to catch some fish on a good day. But a fisherman in Australia was in for a huge surprise when he ended up catching more than a fish on his trip.

Angus James was in for a quirky twist after catching a fish on his trip. According to Grind TV, he noticed a live green tree frog looking up at him from deep inside the fish's throat as he was getting ready to remove the lure from the jungle perch and release it back into the water.

"I was shocked," James told News Limited in Australia. "I thought it might have been grass at first, then it blinked. I always carry a camera, so I took the pic and then he jumps out."

As soon as the picture was captured, the green tree frog escaped back into the water.

James, a professional field angler from Tackle Tactics, was fishing an hour north of Townsville, Queensland, when he hooked the fish with the frog in its mouth on a recent trip, according to Grind TV.

The unusual photos, with 40,000 likes and 2,000 comments, became an overnight internet sensation after James shared them on Facebook.

"It has gone all around the world," he told News Limited. "So many people have shared it. There's people commenting on the photo in languages I don't even understand.

"Everyone keeps saying the frog got its second chance at life."

One of the comments read, "He [the frog] looks like he's smiling. I guess I would be too if I were him."

News Limited of Australia came up with perfect headline when the story broke: "Excuse me, I think I've got a frog in my throat...no really, I do have a frog in my throat," Grind TV reported.

As for the unfortunate fish, neither did it get to finish its meal nor escape from being a meal to a human being.
