In the battle against Abercrombie & Fitch, actress Kirstie Alley has now spoken out against the retail brand for a comment CEO Mike Jeffries made in a 2006 interview with Salon Magazine. Jeffries said Abercrombie & Fitch only caters to "thin and beautiful" people. It was also revealed that the company does make clothes for women bigger than a size 10.
The outspoken actress lashed out at the clothing company in an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" for not catering to the bigger woman. Alley says she will never buy anything from the store because she feels that the company is discriminating against a certain type of woman.
"Abercrombie & Fitch clothes are for people who are cool and look a certain way and are beautiful and are thin and blah, blah, blah. That would make me never buy anything from Abercrombie," Alley told "ET".
She says her kids, William Stevenson, 20, and Lillie Stevenson, 18, won't shop there either.
"I've got two kids in that bracket, but they will never walk in those doors because of his view of people-forget women, his view of just people."
Alley took to her Twitter page to express her feelings about the CEO's view on people.
