"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Porsha Williams was recently caught on video preaching about "saving" those less fortunate, including gays and lesbians. The footage, which was first posted by TMZ, shows Williams giving a sermon at High Praise Christian Center Ministries in Georgia three years ago.
Before finding fame on RHOA, the Bravo TV reality actress was a preacher. Williams reportedly comes from a religious background - her grandfather, civil rights leader Hosea Williams, once worked as an ordained minister.
In the seven-minute video, the 32-year-old reality star urges churchgoers to save the lost souls of hookers, drug dealers, persons who have attempted suicides, gays and lesbians.
"We're supposed to be trying to save them!" Williams declared. "God can use you like he used me. Don't let the devil tell you, you ain't worthy of god's blessings. He wants to use you no matter what. That's what we Christians supposed to be telling the hooker on the street, the drug dealer, the person in the hospital from trying to commit suicide, the gays, the lesbians; we supposed to be trying to save them and tell them, 'You are worthy!'"
While wearing a pink jacket and grey skirt, the Atlanta, Ga., native preaches about temptation.
"So the devil can put a plan of despair in your mind, then you no longer have what? Hope: the very essential thing that makes us Christians in the first place," Williams says in the video. "The loss of hope, the loss of hope, means we will never have god's promise of eternal life. And I ain't gonna let nobody get in the way of my eternal life."
Williams is currently dealing with the fallout from her fight with fellow "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star 43-year-old Kenya Moore during the "Real Housewives" reunion special in March. Williams, who was once married to former American football quarterback Kordell Stewart, reportedly grabbed Moore by her hair and pulled her to the ground.
After the fight, Williams was banned from filming for the remainder of the reunion special. According to several reports, she was charged with one count of misdemeanor battery. Several sources indicated that neither Williams nor Moore will both return for another season.
