Three people were found dead on Wednesday after a home owned by former professional tennis player James Blake went up in flames, USA TODAY reported.
Around 5:45 a.m., a neighbor heard an explosion coming from the house and called 911, according to The Tampa Bay Times.
A spokesperson for Blake said he was not present during the fire. The house, located in Tampa, resides on the exclusive Avila Golf and Country Club.
"He is living in Connecticut now and he was not living in the house," said Molly Logan with IMG Client Services. "I do not know any further details at this time."
The cause of the fire is under investigation, USA TODAY said. Additionally, it is still too early to tell if it is suspicious.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Col. Donna Lusczynski told the Times that authorities believe Blake had rented out the house. Additionally, neighbors said they had net seen Blake around lately.
The names of the victims have not been released and it is unknown if they died before or after the fire.
Due to extensive damage, investigators may not be able to enter the house until Thursday.
Blake, who attended Harvard University, went pro in 1999. From 2006 to 2008, he remained a top-10 player and won 10 single titles and seven in doubles on the ATP World Tour, according to USA TODAY.
