Miami police released two 911 call tapes on Tuesday relating to last month's investigation involving Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his teammate, wide receiver Quinton Patton.
CBS News reported that a man who identifies himself as hotel security made the first call to 911 to authorities just after midnight on April 2. The caller said a woman, who claimed her name was "Jesus," was laying naked in Kaepernick's hotel bed and refused to leave.
"She said her name was Jesus, and she don't have no clothes on," the security guard told the 911 operator. "She's visiting this gentleman here. ... She's screaming now, just crying."
The second call was believed to be made by Lockette, CBS Sports reported.
"I just want to report there's a young lady in my friend's bed," Lockette said. "He's not here. She's waiting in bed. She's not leaving. We asked her to leave. Told her he's not going to be here tonight. And she said she was not leaving until she sees him."
When asked if the woman was waiting for her "boyfriend," the caller responded: "He's not her boyfriend. ... But he's not here so she went and got in bed naked, and said she's staying there until he got back."
Yahoo Sports reported that the 25-year-old woman was then removed by Miami Fire Rescue. She claimed she passed out in a hotel room and awoke in a hospital not knowing how she got there.
None of the players were charged with any wrongdoing. Miami police spokesperson Corporal Frederica Burden said "everything is pending, everything is still open."
Kaepernick first addressed the situation on Twitter on April 11 writing, "The charges made in the TMZ story and other stories I've seen are completely wrong. They make things up about me that never happened. I take great pride in who I am and what I do, but I guess sometimes you have to deal with someone who makes things up."
The athlete spoke publicly for the first time at the 21st Turlock Mayor's Prayer Breakfast stating: "It's been put out that I did something wrong. Even though it's a bad circumstance, a bad situation, I feel like ultimately I've been blessed because it's changed my way of thinking. It's made me stronger. It's made me look at things differently."
Kaepernick responded to the tape release with a tweet on Wednesday.
