Montreal bounced back from their Game 2 loss and went up 2-1 in the series after winning Tuesday's Game 3. Tomas Plekanec, P.K. Subban, Dale Weise and Lars Eller all scored in the 4-2 win. Subban's goal gave him 11 points in the postseason, evidence of the impact the defenseman has had in Montreal's run.
"I'm just the beneficiary of the guys playing well around me, supporting me," Subban told the Associated Press. "It starts in goal. Well, it actually starts with our coaching staff and making sure everybody is feeling confident. We're doing it together. ... When we had adversity, we're sticking together doing the right things.
"It's fun to play on teams where you know guys are going to support you."
Boston credited Montreal's stout defense, their shot-blocking in particular, for limiting them to just two points in Game 3, according to the Associated Press.
"They're taking away a lot of scoring chances," Bruins forward Shawn Thornton said. "They came out with a lot of energy. I thought our pace was pretty good, but if you give up a couple of goals, then you're chasing. We have to shore it up and hopefully get back to the way (we're) used to playing."
Patrice Bergeron and Jarome Iginla provided the only scoring on Tuesday for the Bruins.
