Donald Sterling Racist Comments: Clippers’ Owner Made Controversial Remarks to Get V. Stiviano to Have Sex with Him?

In a bizarre twist to the Donald Sterling scandal, TMZ is reporting that the Los Angeles Clippers' owner made the racist remarks so V. Stiviano would have sex with him. Reportedly, Sterling told friends that the only reason why he made those controversial comments was to try and get the model in bed.

Why Sterling thought that could work remains a mystery. The source told TMZ that Sterling was so desperate to sleep with Stiviano that he was willing to say anything to get her to consent. Stiviano has been labeled as a mistress but during a recent interview with Barbara Walters, she said that her relationship with the 80-year-old was not sexual.

After Sterling's rant was leaked on the Internet, he was banned for life from the NBA by Commissioner Adam Silver and was also fined $2.5 million. He is also being urged to sell the Clippers. According to reports, the now infamous rant was reportedly sparked by Stiviano posting a photo of herself with Magic Johnson on her Instagram account.

During the conversation, Sterling told the model not to bring "black people" to Clippers games and said that he would prefer if she only hung out with black people in private.

"It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you're associating with black people. Do you have to?" Sterling said in the audio.

"You can sleep with [black people]. You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that... and not to bring them to my games," he said.

Despite the comments, Sterling denies that he is a racist. According to a different report by TMZ, he told a friend during a recent phone conversation that he had nothing against black people.

"It breaks my heart that Magic Johnson, a guy that I respect so much, wouldn't stand up and say, 'Well let's get the facts. Let's get him and talk to him.' Nobody tried. Nobody!" he said.

"Do you think I told the coach to get white players? Or to get the best players he can get?" Sterling added.
