Saban 'The Devil Himself': Florida Assistant Compares Alabama Coach To The Prince Of Darkness

Florida Gators assistant Tim Davis became the second college football coach to compare Nick Saban to the devil.

Davis, the offensive line coach for the Gators, made the remarks about Saban on Tuesday during a booster club meeting. Davis' remarks came in his assessment of Florida coach Will Muschamp's offensive approach as similar to the Alabama coach's approach, according to ESPN.

"I've always wanted to work with Will [Muschamp]," Davis said. "Will's got a plan. Will coached under the devil himself for seven years. I only did three. He did seven. And his DNA is not any different than Nick.

"[Muschamp]'s like the other guy, but he's got a personality," he added. "He'll smile at you. He'll talk to you. You understand? That's what he's all about. That's Will. I'm proud to work for him."

Davis and Muschamp both worked as assistants under Saban when he coached the NFL's Miami Dolphins from 2005-06.

Davis isn't the first to compare Saban to the devil. Vanderbilt coach James Franklin referred to Saban as "Nicky Satan" during a high school sports banquet. Franklin apologized for the incident, which happened four months ago, and said the comparison was intended as a joke.
