Adobe has created a new app for iPad called Adobe Voice, which allows people to use voice records and images to create videos.
The app is based on the importance of speaking in telling a story and getting a message across, according to PCWorld.
The app's animation videos can be viewed on any mobile device.
Different templates are available to choose for stories. Each template has instructional cards that help design a layout. While users don't have to follow the directions exactly, they serve as a good guide for first-time users, PC Magazine reported.
Users open up the card for editing by tapping on it. The app has a built-in catalog that features texts, photos and icons that users can place in the card.
A selection of music is also available, as is the option of adding images from the Internet or personal photos, PC World reported. Voice has graphic effects, which include real-time motion blue, chalkboard-and water-style themes, shadows and 3D. The app automatically adds credits listing images and Creative Commons icons at the end of the story.
The end result is a 60-to 90-second video. Adobe said the video takes only a few minutes to make.
"Presentations can be effective - if everyone you care about is in the same room," Tom Nguyen, senior product manager of Adobe Voice, said in a Twitter interview. "But it's really your voice that tells the story. That makes a personal connection. So a slide deck can't help you tell your story to thousands/millions of people online."
Nguyen also said that storytelling is broken down on the app into building blocks, which gives users the chance to tell their stories one line at a time to see how it plays.
People who use Adobe Creative Cloud can add their photos to narratives on Voice, PCWorld reported.
Voice costs at least $29.99 per month for access to Creative Cloud. However, the app is available for free at the Apple App Store.
