Derek Jeter Fan Attempts To Get A Hug From Yankee Captain During Milwaukee Brewers' Game: 'I Was Thinking I Wasn't Going To Hug Him' (PHOTOS)

Derek Jeter stood in the Milwaukee Brewers' Miller Park unfazed by a fan quickly approaching him with his arms wide upon expecting an embrace.

Jeter, 39, is on his farewell tour as the New York Yankee captain is retiring after the 2014 season. Fans have been heading over to many ballparks to see Jeter's final games.

However, some fans have taken their love for Jeter a little to far, including one male attendee sporting a Ryan Braun jersey who ran onto the field during the sixth inning of the game.

"His face was calm," Jeter told the Associated Press. "He was saying he wanted a hug. I was thinking I wasn't going to hug him. That was pretty much it. It happened pretty quick. I didn't even see him until he got past the third-base line."

''I told him, 'You're going to get in trouble,''' Jeter added. ''Then he repeated that he wanted a hug. I said, 'Look out.'''

Jeter warned the fan he was about to get tackled by two stadium security officials. Jeter didn't feel threatened by the fan approaching him, but Yankees Manager Joe Girardi was a concerned in that moment because it was unclear what the fan was going to do.

"I was like, 'Derek, move,'" Girardi told AP. "Derek just kind of stood there. Obviously, he didn't feel threatened. It's not what you want because you never know what people are up to. It's an unfortunate part of the game."

The Yankees won against the Brewers 5-3 during Friday night's game. Pitcher Masahiro Tanaka pitched into the seventh and is now 5-0 in his premiere season in United State's Major League Baseball.
