Beyoncé's younger sister Solange was caught on camera physically attacked Jay Z during a Met Gala after party on May 5, according to a video released by TMZ.
Solange, 27, is shown kicking, punching and possibly spitting at her sister's husband, but the reasons for the altercation are unclear. Beyoncé stays in the corner of the elevator, seemingly not getting involved with the fight until Solange goes to attack Jay Z a second time.
A large man, who is allegedly their bodyguard, is seen in the video holding down Solange in attempts to calm her. Though Solange attacked Jay Z multiple times, the rapper did not physically retaliate in the video.
"And this is interesting. When you look closely, you see the bodyguard hit the emergency stop switch on the 12th floor -- mid fight -- presumably to keep the fight private," TMZ reports. "All three walked out of the building together. Solange looks pissed, but while Bey and Solange get in one car, security walks Jay to a different one."
Beyoncé, Jay Z and Solange are seen leaving the after-party together, but Jay Z heads out in a separate car than his wife and sister-in-law. Neither of the parties involved have released a statement regarding to altercation. However, Beyonce posted a prayer on her Instagram account that could be an indication as to what is going on in her life.
Beyoncé and Jay Z are currently working together for their summer tour title "On the Run."
