A high school student was stabbed at an apartment complex near Charlestown High School in Massachusetts on Tuesday, NECN reported.
According to Boston Police, the student was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition.
Though the stabbing took place close to the school, no lockdown or shelter in place has been issued. However, parents have been notified via email and phone.
The name of the victim has not been released and no arrests have been made.
Classes are scheduled to continue throughout the day, NECN said.
In April, a stabbing attack at Franklin Regional High School in Pennsylvania left 21 students and one security guard injured.
The school was closed for a full week after Alex Hribal, a 16-year-old sophomore, went on a stabbing spree.
Though Hribal will be tried as an adult, he is being held at Regional Youth Services Center without bond. He faces four counts of attempted murder and 21 counts of aggravated assault.
Authorities also believe Hribal made threatening phone calls to two students before he carried out the stabbing attack.
"The caller is believed to be the actor because of the subsequent conduct of the actor coming to school and attacking numerous individuals," the affidavit says.
