Car Crashes Into WMAR-TV Station In Baltimore; Armed Suspect May Be Inside

A car crashed into the WMAR-TV station in Baltimore on Tuesday, according to The Baltimore Sun.

The incident occurred at the ABC News affiliate at 11:45 a.m. Officials believe the suspect may be inside the building and could be armed.

Brian Kuebler, a reporter at the station, said on Twitter the suspect broke through the lobby and reportedly began screaming "let me in," claiming he was God.

The roads around the area have been closed off and everyone from the newsroom was evacuated. Several other reporters at the station have been detailing the incident on social media.

"A guy has slammed his truck 7 times into our building and is in our building..we've been evacuated..," meteorologist Mike Masco tweeted.

Additionally, the nearby St. Piux X school and parish are on lockdown.

"Police are on site, and all students, teachers and staff are safely inside buildings," said Mae Richardson, director of the church's youth and children's ministry. "The police have been immediate in their response and in ensuring the safety of all on the campus."

Further details on the investigation were not available.

In March, a woman was arrested after opening fire at a TV news station in Houston.

Police responded to a call about an armed person outside of the ABC 13 station building. According to Fox News journalists, at least two cars were seen with bullet holes in the station's parking lot.
