The Voice Season 6: Josh Kaufman, Christina Grimmie And Jake Worthington Make It To The Finals

"The Voice" Season 6 is in its final leg with contestants Josh Kaufman, Christina Grimmie And Jake Worthington being the last three contestants fighting it out.

Seems like Shakira will once again be a mere spectator at "The Voice" Season 6 finals! NBC's Emmy award winning reality singing competition show is just a week away from its grand finale and last night, the three finalists were revealed.

This week's Tuesday night elimination rounds started with the performance by band Rascal Flatts. They sang their latest single "Rewind."

Jake Worthington's Monday night's "Good Ol Boys" and "Heaven" performance seemed to be enough to see him through to the finals. Both renditions were by far his best performances. Worthington has been criticized for not being able to hit notes right but Monday's performances put all wagging tongues to rest.

This was followed by the performance of 'The Voice' Season 5 runner-up Jacquie Lee from Team Christina. She sang her single "Broken Ones." She was followed by another runner-up, Will Champlin. He sang her single "Eye of the Pyramid."

Host Carson Daly then took the stage to announce Josh Kaufman as the second finalist of the night. Kaufman has been one of the strongest contestants on the show right from the start. After being eliminated from Team Adams in the first Battle rounds, Team Usher took the opportunity to "steal" the talented singer. Ever since, Kaufman has received immense praise from all four coaches. Adam Levine went as far as calling himself a "fool" for letting Kaufman go.

The announcement meant that Team Adam's Christina Grimmie and Kat Perkins and Team Shakira's Kristen Merlin were the bottom three contestants of the night.

Merlin sang "Blown Away" by Carrie Underwood. She seemed to struggle with the low notes but was exceptional in the chorus. Merlin's journey on the show has had its fair share of drama. She's the only contestant who experienced a technical failure during her live performance. The judges applauded her for handling the situation like a pro - one of the reasons why she's remained in the competition so far.

Perkins was nothing short of perfection yet again with her roll-n-rock twist to Underwood's "Good Girl". Even though Perkins has impressed the judges time and again, this is the third time she's found herself in the bottom three. She's the only contestant who's been saved by "Twitter Save" twice this season.

Singing OneRepublic's "Apologize," Grimmie sang to the rafters and let it all out on the stage, even shedding a few tears. Despite the fact that Levine said he was pulling for Perkins just moments earlier, he told viewers that, if Grimmie made it through tonight, he knows in his heart of hearts that she'll win it all. And she did make it through after American saved her through Twitter Save.

The top 3 finalists will perform to win audiences' votes in the two-part finale, next week.
