Andi Dorfman is engaged! According to TV blogger and "Bachelor" spoiler guru Reality Steve, Dorfman ended her season with a proposal. The 26-year-old Atlanta native started off with 25 guys but narrowed it down and handed her final rose to Josh Murray, 31.
Unlike Juan Pablo's season of "The Bachelor," Dorfman and Murray got engaged. JP and his winner, Nikki Ferrell, have been in a long-distance relationship since filming ended. Reality Steve even thinks Dorfman and her new fiancé can really make the relationship last since they both live in the same area.
If the TV blogger is correct (which he usually is), the Atlanta lawyer will most likely spend this summer planning a "Bachelorette" wedding. We'll have to wait and see how the season plays out.
The site also dished on which of Dorfman's guys will be the next "Bachelor." According to RS, the title will go to Chris Soules, 32. Host Chris Harrison recently mentioned Soules in his "5 Guys to Watch."
Tragedy struck the dating reality show in the middle of filming when one of the contestants died from a paragliding accident last month. Eric Hill, 31 from California, died on Apr. 23 after a paragliding accident left him in a medically induced coma.
He was paragliding in Utah when his parachute partially collapsed, according to reports. Hill had already been eliminated from the show at the time of his death. Dorfman recently spoke about the loss to People magazine saying that she was "devastated" when producers told her the news.
"Shock, devastation, grief," Dorfman told People. "It's something you never could have predicted [or] expected."
She said the entire cast was extremely saddened to hear the news.
"He was a member of our cast and we had an inherent bond. The [other contestants] shared that bond, too. It was shocking and devastating to all of us, and it's still a tough thing that we're going through."
Dorfman told People that she will always remember Hill by his "love of life."
"People say, 'Oh, he lived life to the fullest,'" Dorfman told the magazine. "But Eric really was the epitome of someone who lived life to the fullest... His sense of adventure inspired not only me, but every guy in the house, every producer, every crew member. Everybody says they want to do stuff in their life, but he was really doing it."
"The Bachelorette" premieres Monday, May 19 at 9: 30 p.m. on ABC.
