Chicago White Sox Vs. Oakland Athletics Live Radio Broadcast: A's Look For 3-Game Sweep (LISTEN)

The Chicago White Sox play the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday in Game 3 of their series. The game begins at 3:35 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast below.

Oakland (25-15) can sweep the series against Chicago with a win on Wednesday. The A's followed up series-opener's 5-4 win with an 11-0 rout in Game 2. Athletics first baseman Brandon Moss had three hits, including two homeruns and a double, that drove in five RBIs.

Moss credited the offensive onslaught to the way White Sox starting pitcher Scott Carroll was throwing the ball.

"(Carroll) was mixing his pitches but when you're throwing a lot of strikes (hitters) can be aggressive with pitches in the zone," Moss told the Associated Press. "That's what our guys were doing. Those kind of nights are fun (for) everybody."

On the pitching front, starter Drew Pomeranz (3-1, 1.14 ERA) didn't give up any runs while striking out eight batters and allowing just three hits and two walks.

"That's a tough lineup to navigate through," A's manager Bob Melvin said. "He strikes out the first three hitters of the game, sets the tone, and then the offense was terrific across the board."

Chicago manager Robin Venture credited Pomeranz for playing a big part in the White Sox being outplayed.

"Guys swung through some pitches and (Pomeranz) pounded the strike zone," Venture said. "We got outplayed all the way around. Nothing went right."

A's pitcher Tommy Milone (1-3, 4.54) is tasked with following Pomeranz's performance. Milone earned his first win of the season in Friday's 8-0 rout of Washington; he struck out seven batters and allowed just two hits through eight innings.

Opposing Milone is Andre Rienzo (3-0, 4.56), who is making his first appearance against Oakland. Rienzo gave up three runs against Arizona in Friday's 9-3 win.
