Rihanna is many things - a singer, actress, fashion icon...and cyber bully?
The self-proclaimed "bad girl" is being accused of cyber-bullying a 16-year-old girl who tried to recreate one of her red carpet looks for prom.
E! Online reported that Baltimore resident Alexis Carter was inspired by the Alexandre Vauthier jumpsuit Rihanna wore to the 2010 Echo Awards in Berlin.
"I was like, 'Oh my god, I love this outfit, I wanna go with this outfit, let me go show my mom,' and I was like, 'Mom, mom, mom, I wanna wear this, it's cool, I love it, oh my god,'" she told Fox Baltimore.
The high school student reportedly had a family friend make the outfit for her, which mimicked Rihanna's look by featuring a plunging neckline and a cape that resembled wings. During her Hollywood-themed prom held last week, Carter said she received a plateful of compliments on her outfit.
"Everybody was saying, 'Oh my god, I love it. It looks nice. Your body looks good. It's different,'" Carter recalled
Carter posted her pictures to Twitter and quickly received awful remarks with the hashtag #PromBat. Several users posted altered photographs that mocked Carter's jumpsuit. Carter said what made it worse was that Rihanna also commented on the pictures.
The "Diamonds" singer posted a picture of herself wearing the dress with the caption "IG" right next to a photoshopped picture of Carter's outfit, with the caption "real life" and added a frowning emoticon.
Rihanna posted a second picture of the teen next to Wu Tang's bat-like logo with the caption "she gets it." Carter told FOX that the starlet was being a cyber-bully.
"I was very offended. Why throw shade on it when you had on the exact same thing? The poses was different but the outfit wasn't," Carter told Fox Baltimore. "She don't love her fans like she says she does."
Carter said she is no longer a fan of Rihanna and has no plans to dress up as her former idol for her next prom. Rihanna has yet to offer an apology for her mocking comments online.
