After being accused of attempted robbery Justin Bieber has taken to his Twitter to clear up rumors surrounding his name.
Earlier this week, the 20-year-old "Baby" singer was accused of trying to steal a woman's cell phone at a miniature-golf and batting cage complex in Sherman Oaks, Calif. According to CNN, the unnamed woman from San Fernando Valley claimed that Bieber wrestled the phone out of her possession because he believed she had taken pictures of him and his friends during an "altercation" with another party.
In a series of tweets posted Wednesday, the Canadian-born singer addressed the allegations against him, stating how tough it is to constantly defend himself.
"It is hard to defend myself and my privacy every moment of the day. Then to see rumors. The truth will set u free," he first tweeted, along with a screenshot of the article published by TMZ.
"My mom raised me to be kind to others," Bieber continued. "I get judged, harassed, and I try to take the high road. Sometimes it isn't easy. But we keep trying...I will continue to be the man my mother raised. I love people and I will try to be kind even when things are not fair. Don't believe rumors...Thanks for those who stick by me and those that help me grow everyday. I love you."
Bieber ended his message with a link to an Access Hollywood interview with Epic Records chief exec L.A. Reid discussing the singer's future projects.
Los Angeles Police Department said on Wednesday that "the case remains under investigation with detectives conducting numerous interviews," however, a source told the New York Daily News that the allegations against the singer are inaccurate.
"There were a lot of different people taking Justin's picture, which is totally normal," the source said. "This just wasn't a big deal, the woman didn't stand out."
