San Francisco (26-15) won their three-game series against Atlanta after a 10-4 rout in Wednesday's Game 3. Hunter Pence, Michael Morse and Brandon Crawford all homered, and starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner allowed four runs through five innings before three relief pitchers - Juan Gutierrez, Jean Machi and Javier Lopez - combined to keep Atlanta scoreless.
"They didn't take an inning off," Bumgarner told the team website of the Giants' batters. "That's awesome to see."
Giants outfielder Gregor Blanco, who stole three bases, also helped the Giants' offense. He also singled and walked twice from the leadoff spot, according to the Associated Press.
"That's the kind of player I am. That's how I can be every single day," Blanco said. "I just was out of my game a little bit and I just reminded myself, 'This is who you are. This is the kind of player you should be.'"
Matt Cain (0-3, 4.25 ERA) starts on Thursday for San Francisco. He's still looking for his first win of the season after fiving up two runs in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Marlins pitcher Nathan Eovaldi (2-1, 2.86) is scheduled to oppose Cain. Eovaldi is 1-0 with a 2.03 ERA in his last five starts, but he gave up two runs in Saturday's 9-3 loss to San Diego.
