'Halo 5' Release Date: Company Aims For Fall 2015 Launch

Microsoft will release "Halo 5: Guardians" in fall 2015.

According to The Inquisitir, the game, a re-creation of 2004's Halo 2, is the first for the company's Xbox One console.

General manager for Halo's game developer 343 Industries said the company put more energy into "Halo 5" than its predecessor, "Halo 4".

"'Halo 5: Guardians' is a bigger effort than 'Halo 4'," 343 Industries General Manager Bonnie Ross said in a statement. "That applies to the content and scope of the game, as well as the technology in what's now a brand new and more powerful engine.

Ross also said the game resembles certain aspects of its previous version, while still catering to Xbox One.

"Certainly there are some core elements carried over from prior games, but we've invested a huge effort in retooling our tech to take full advantage of the Xbox One's hardware and ecosystem to create worlds and experiences worthy of next-gen," Ross stated.

Ross introduced the game during 2013's Electronic Entertainment Expo. She expects to execute creation plans for "Halo 5" this year.

Gaming is not the only aspect Microsoft will focus on for the latest version of the game.

A Stephen Spielberg-directed TV series will also launch in 2015. Other famous figures in showbiz are also taking part in the "Halo 5" show.

Microsoft released "Halo 2" on the company's original Xbox game console in 2004.

Microsoft has expanded and developed the machine.

The company enhanced the machine's graphics, improved how gamers play online, and interacted with other competition, AP reported.

Microsoft added Twitch live stream capabilities upon the launch of combat game Titanfall, according to Polygon.

The company will start selling the game console without a kinect sensor starting June 9th for $399.

Xbox One will then be available for sale in 26 more countries in September - Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands and Norway among them, PC Magazine reported.
