Authorities have arrested an obsessed fan who attempted to swim to Taylor Swift's Rhode Island beach home, TMZ reports.
The alleged stalker is a 22-year-old male from the Chicago area who was taken into custody for trespassing after admitting to swimming up to the beach in front of Swift's home, according to TMZ. The Huffington Post reports the fan's name to be Lucas Vorsteveld who is reportedly still in police custody on grounds of trespassing.
Cops reportedly saw the man climbing out of the water one mile from Swift's home. When he was asked what he was doing in the water, he allegedly told police he was intending to meet Taylor after his swim, TMZ reports. Police said they have already been in contact with Swift's security.
The Westerly Police Department told TMZ, "There is a zero tolerance policy for trespassers."
Swift, 23, is no stranger to stalkers. An alleged 24-year-old male stalker was arrested in December after he allegedly took a bus from Wisconsin to a home connected to the singer in Nashville and climbed the fence, according to Billboard.com.
The "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer has been scrutinized in the media for airing her relationship baggage out in her songs. Swift has been romantically connected to John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, Conor Kennedy and One Direction singer Harry Styles.
