Wisconsin Family Files Restraining Order Against Kindergarten Bully Who Threatened Daughter

A family in Wisconsin filed a restraining order against a kindergarten boy who allegedly threatened to slit their daughter's throat, according to the New York Daily News.

The girl's father, Brian Metzger, claims the 5-year-old boy constantly kicks and throws rocks and sand at his 6-year-old daughter and other children at Prairie Lane Elementary School in Kenosha County.

"The whole year she's been dealing with it. There have been other students in the classroom who have been dealing with the same individual," Metzger told WISN-TV.

Though Metzger initially contacted school officials about the problem, he claims they didn't do much to help and decided to take legal action.

"She came home and said a student threatened her by saying, 'I want to slit your throat and watch you bleed,'" he said.

After the order was filed on Tuesday night, the school decided to remove the boy from Metzger's daughters class. Additionally, a hearing is set for May 20, where he hopes to see the bully expelled.

"I want him removed from the school district, period," he told CBS 58.

Tanya Ruder, a spokesperson for the school district, defended their decision to not immediately expel the child.

"There's always two sides to every story," Ruder said. "There's not a set threshold of what causes or what would determine when a child is moved out of a classroom."

The boy's family has not publicly commented on the issue.
