Apple Ends Employment With Famous iPhone Hacker Comex

Tech giant Apple decided to end its employment contract with the legendary iPhone hacker Comex AKA Nicholas Allegra for what he tweets "a failure to respond to an e-mail."

"As of last week, after about a year, I'm no longer associated with Apple," Comex wrote on Twitter. "As for why? Because I forgot to reply to an email."

Speaking to Forbes, Allegra said the email he forgot to replay was an offer to continue his employment at Apple as a remote intern.

"I wasn't too happy about it, but it didn't seem like I was able to fix it," he said. "So that's what it is."

Allegra was hired by Apple last year after he rose to fame for writing his JailBreakMe. The tools for iPhones and iPads like Jailbreakme 2 and Jailbreakme 3 helped users beat the restrictions on iOS devices that restrict them to download only from Apple's official app store. His brilliance was shown in the tools he designed and programmed that simply defeated what is known to be the strongest of any consumer operating system - iOS's strict security measures.

Forbes also suggested that Allegra may not work on new jailbreaking tools for iOS any time soon, but would focus on his studies at Brown University.
