Microsoft's Internet Explorer and Windows Phone 8 will soon be able to experience "Assassin's Creed Pirates."
According to CVG, Ubisoft has released a demo for Internet Explorer and will soon bring the application to the Windows phone.
"We wanted to bring a taste of this game to the web. It was a challenge and a technical demo for the mobile application on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8," Ubisoft Studio Manager Francois Bodson said.
"Assassin's Creed Pirates" for your web browser is solely about taking your ship onto the high seas in order to race your fellow pirates and enemies. You can check out the game and the demo on "Assassin's Creed Pirates" official website here.
In other "Assassin's Creed" news, Ubisoft recentl revealed more than on third of their gaming studios worked on their upcoming "Assassin's Creed: Unity" title.
"Studios working on Assassin's Creed Unity include Ubisoft teams in Montreal, Toronto, Singapore, Quebec, Annecy, Shanghai, Chengdu, Kiev, Montpellier,and Bucharest," Gamespot reports. "Ubisoft has a total of 29 studios worldwide, meaning Assassin's Creed Unity is being worked on by around a third of Ubisoft's studios."'
Ubisoft has yet to reveal a release date for their "Assassin's Creed: Unity" title for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. However, there are rumors of a second title, "Assassin's Creed: Comet", slated to hit store shelves this year for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
"GameBlog's report claims that Comet will take place in and around 1758; that it will star a sailor named Shay who betrays the captain of his ship; and that it's set on the Atlantic Ocean," according to Kotaku.
"We haven't been able to confirm all of those plot details, and some of it appears to be speculation by GameBlog," the gaming site continued, "but people familiar with Comet tell us that this fall's last-gen Assassin's Creed will indeed be set in North America and star a protagonist named Shay, who is a member of the Templars, the assassin-hating order that has traditionally served as primary antagonist in the Assassin's Creed games."
