A note from J.J. Abrams to the "Star Wars Episode VII" cast and crew has made its way online.
The "Star Wars" production began shortly after the official cast was announced. The latest franchise installment will star newcomers John Boyega , Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow. Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker are also joining the cast.
Abrams note reads: "Dearest Cast and Crew, What an honor it is to work beside all of you, on Star Wars - Ep VII. I can't thank you enough, for all work past and future. Let's take good care, of not just ourselves, but of each other. Amazing, but true: The world awaits this film. Let's give 'em something GREAT. xo JJ."
You can see a photo of Abram's handwritten note here. The note echoes Abram's statement released during the official casting announcement.
"We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again," Abrams said. "We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."
Shortly after the casting announcement, new actor Domhnall Gleeson went on Dublin radio show 2FM where he was asked about his feelings about joining the official "Star Wars" crew.
"I'm still struggling to come to terms with it," Gleeson told the radio show. "It all happened really quickly for me. It was like the day before and then I'm at a table reading with Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill. It was madness but it was great."
"Star Wars Episode 7" will be released to theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
