Hyderabad, meanwhile, is in sixth place with a 6-7 record. They bounced back from a three-game losing streak by stringing together two consecutive wins, including Thursday's six-wicket win over second-place Chennai.
David Warner took the Man of the Match award with his game-high 90 runs, and Shikhar Dhawan chipped in with 64 runs. Hyderabad's bowling sufficed, thanks in part to Karn Sharma's two wickets.
