A man was arrested in front of the White House on Friday after stripping naked and trying to scale the fence, according to The New York Daily News.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. after the man, identified as Michael Bechard, was denied entrance into the White House. At least four Secret Service agents subdued Bechard, who allegedly attacked at least one of them.
"Michel Bechard approached uniformed division officers at the White House and he proceeded to get fully undressed," George Ogilvie, spokesman for the Secret Service, told CNN. "As uniformed division officers attempted to subdue him, he assaulted a uniform division officer and he was taken into custody."
Additionally, Bechard was yelling about having an appointment with President Barack Obama, The Daily Caller said.
He was then clothed with a blanket by authorities and placed into the back of a van. Afterwards, Bechard was transported to a hospital for minor injuries, The Washington Post reported.
The White House was not placed on lockdown and it is unclear what provoked the incident.
Earlier in May, the White House was placed on lockdown after two people threw items over the north and south fences. Days before that, a man was detained after following a car carrying the president's daughters.
The driver was later identified as 55-year-old Mathew Evan Goldstein. He held a pass for the U.S. Treasury Building, which is located next to the White House, a source close to the incident told CNN.
