A murder suspect in Florida was found hiding in a West Knoxville, Tennessee motel on Tuesday, according to USA TODAY.
Authorities have been searching for David Eugene Smith, 27, who also goes by "Prince David," after two women and a man were killed in Lakeland over the holiday weekend.
One of the victims was discovered by her 14-year-old daughter in the home where Smith had been living for the past two months, WBIR-TV reported. The bodies were reportedly found on Monday.
The victims have been identified as 31-year-old Danyalla Smith, who is the suspect's sister, Nikosi Williams, 25, and Miranda Mims, 28.
Investigators learned from Smith's Facebook account that he referred to himself as "Prince David" and uploaded a post that read "I hate evil and will not allow it on my planet."
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said Smith, a veteran who suffers from PTSD, was previously taken into custody under Florida's Baker Act, which allows for involuntary incarceration in certain mental health cases.
Officials said a man was seen firing shots from a window at the Days Inn on West Park Boulevard, which is closed on near Cedar Bluff Road.
Additionally, authorities are asking nearby medical centers near the road to issue a shelter in place.
