LG finally took the curtains off its G3 smartphone with impressive features that completely define the true quality of a flagship.
LG launched its latest flagship smartphone, the G3, in two phases, Tuesday and Wednesday, in London, New York, San Francisco, Seoul, Singapore and Istanbul on world. The new smartphone comes after months of leaks and rumors as well as a few teasers from the tech giant.
The G3 justifies its high rank. It is equipped with some of the unique features such as Smart Notice personal assistant, smart keyboard, Kill Switch and more.
"The smartest innovation in a fast evolving smartphone market is creating harmony between advanced technology and a simplified user experience," Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG, said in a press release, Tuesday. "LG G3 is the result of our effort to actualize that idea into a tangible product. And we are extremely pleased with the result."
Design
The LG G3 features a Floating Arc design for comfortable one-handed use and continues its unique rear-key concept for quick access to volume rocker and power button. The handset features a polished metallic back cover and it is classy, lightweight and fingerprint-proof.
Moreover, the front side of the G3 is complimented by a large display with a screen ratio of 76.4 percent, which translates to extremely thin bezels.
LG G3 Smart Features
The smartphone maker has introduced Smart Notice, smart keyboard and smart security with its 2014 flagship.
LG G3's smart keyboard adapts to user's typing speed and erases errors. According to the company, smart keyboard reduces input errors by up to 75 percent.
The G3 users will receive a unique experience with the Smart Notice personal assistant, as it uses natural language to communicate with its owner. The smart assistant will monitor user behavior and usage patterns to offer important information when it is needed the most. It also reminds users about a missed call and offers a call back option and scans the smartphone for unused apps and files so they can be deleted to free up some space on the phone.
An example of the Smart Notice personal assistant's weather forecast: "You may want to take an umbrella today since it will rain this evening."
The smartphone's smart security system keeps the G3 in complete control of its owner. The company's Knock Code will act as a default locking system using a pattern of taps, as well as a KnockOn to wake the home screen. The G3 also features Content Lock that keeps personal files and folders out of sight for others even if the smartphone is plugged into a computer. LG has added a kill switch for G3 owners so they have complete control over their data with features like remote wipe, lock and others. This can help users control their G3 even if it is stolen or lost.
Technical Features (Camera, Display, Processor & more)
The LG G3 is as impressive under the hood. It is powered by a powerful 2.5GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, and packs 2GB RAM for 16GB variant and 3GB RAM for the 32GB model. Both variants sport microSD slots for memory expansion up to 128GB. The G3 also packs standard features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and support for 4G networks. It runs on Google's latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS.

The front side of the device is fitted with a 2.1 megapixel camera for better selfies.
