The Rolling Stones Back on Tour Two Months After Death of Mick Jagger's Girlfriend L'Wren Scott (VIDEO)

Mick Jagger is ready to rock again.

The Rolling Stones returned to the stage for the first time since the death of Jagger's girlfriend, fashion designer L'Wren Scott. People Magazine reported that the rock band performed a "high-energy" two-hour show at the Oslo Telenor Arena on Monday.

The performance was part of the band's 14 on Fire concert series, which celebrates the group's 50th anniversary with shows around the globe. The band played to a sold-out crowd of 23,000 fans and ended their set with a firework show.

"We first played Oslo in June 1965," Jagger said to the crowd during the middle of their performance. "We played nine songs. We've played more than that already."

The Stones reportedly spent a week rehearsing at Oslo's film studio complex Filmparken and performed a dress rehearsal Saturday night at Telenor Arena. The band's set list included "All Down the Line," "Emotional Rescue," "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Let's Spend the Night Together," and "You Can't Always Get What You Want," among other hits.

The E Street Band's Steve Van Zandt attended that show. Jan Martin Schultz, 55, told The New York Daily News that he and his two friends have seen The Rolling Stones live several times and added that Jagger had "powerful energy" on stage.

"It was a great rock 'n roll show," Schultz told the New York Daily News. "I saw them in Gothenburg in 1982 and I thought then they seemed old. They didn't seem old tonight."

The tour was interrupted after Jagger's girlfriend of 11 years was found dead from a suicide on March 17 in her New York City apartment. During the show, no one mentioned Scott's death. In May, Jagger held a memorial service for Scott where Sarah Jessica Parker and Martin Scorsese were among those who gathered to mourn her loss. The singer shared some thoughts about Scott and sang Bob Dylan's "Just Like a Woman" at the service.

"I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me," Jagger said in a statement in March.

The band has rescheduled their Australia and New Zealand tour dates for October and November. The next Rolling Stones concert will be in Lisbon, Portugal, on May 29.
