47-year-old Stacey Dash has signed a deal with Fox News to join the network as a paid contributor. according to The Hollywood Reporter. Dash will offer "cultural analysis and commentary across various daytime and primetime programs."
"Stacey is an engaging conversationalist whose distinctive viewpoints among her Hollywood peers have spawned national debates - we're pleased to have her join Fox News," Bill Shine, executive vice president of programming of FOX News, said in a statement.
FOX's list of contributors includes Karl Rove, James Carville, George Will, Dennis Miller and Sarah Palin. Dash, who is best known as Dionne Davenport from the cult classic '90s film and TV series "Clueless" with Alicia Silverstone, is no stranger to voicing her opinions on politics.
According to the Washington Post, Dash is known as an outspoken conservative on Twitter, voicing her opinions on pop culture, national news and politics.
In October 2012, she endorsed then-Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on social media, but received backlash for her opinions. She was heavily criticized in the black community for supporting a white candidate.
Then-vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan reportedly called Dash to thank her for her courage. In an interview on Piers Morgan Tonight, Dash said she had the right to support whichever candidate she believed in. Dash's new role has received negative backlash from several social media users.

"She truly thinks she's a white woman," user @ChampagneNii stated.
"Now every self hating black has a show on Fox News," wrote @funkdigital.
Dash has recently appeared in "Single Ladies" and "The Game". She has also appeared in films including films "Renaissance Man" and "View from the Top."
