Batman fans got a glimpse of Ben Affleck as The Caped Crusader but have yet to see Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman or Henry Cavill's new Superman costume. All three actors are set to appear in Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," due out the summer of 2016.
It's been rumored that Snyder will be releasing more photos soon, but so far no such luck. Now there's a new rumor floating around that claims that Wonder Woman's new look in the film will be modeled after the Amazonian Princess' costume in issue 600 of The All-New Wonder Woman.
The look was also used in the video game "Injustice: Gods Among Us." According to Kpop Starz, the information was leaked by a site called Comic Central City. First, we have to point out that this is just a rumor and Warner Bros. has not confirmed any of this.
Also a search for Comic Central City did not turn up any results. Reportedly, the site used a mockup photo of Gadot in the armored, spandex outfit which includes a jacket. You can check out the photo here.
In related news, Kevin Smith recently dished on the film during a "Hollywood Babble-On" podcast giving listeners his opinion on the direction he thinks the movie is going in.
"But look, they're obviously beginning something, and there's a stretch of these flicks, and so this is the beginning of the Justice League, as well as suspected as they were announcing that cast," he said. "We were like, 'This is the beginning of a Justice League movie.' From what I understand now, it's no longer like, 'This is Superman 2.'"
"They're not doing these things. They're doing like, 'Here's Man of Steel. Here's Batman/Superman: Dawn of Justice.' The next one is not like a sequel to one of the characters," he continued. "They're just going to keep building their universe for about five or six movies. But all of them... it's supposed to tell one massive story, which is all Justice League oriented."
Smith also talked about the title, which did not sit well with fans.
"It's a bit of a mouthful," he said. "And also, I don't know why 'Batman v Superman.' Why not just throw the 's' in there? Or spell it or something like that. Or honestly, every comic book fan on the planet, who is a DC comic book fan, I think we all wanted to see 'Batman/Superman: World's Finest.'"
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be released May 6, 2016.
