After just one season on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" reality stars Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia have been fired, Us Weekly reported.
"Decisions were made and Joyce and Carlton have been informed that they're not coming back," one show insider told Us Weekly.
Both reality stars joined the Bravo show for its fourth season after the exit of stars Taylor Armstrong, Adrienne Maloof and Camille Grammer. In February, TMZ reported that Giraud, 39, and Gebbia, 40, were on the chopping block because "they're just not exciting enough."
Gebbia revealed to Giuliana Rancic that the dismissal from the series will give her more time to work on her other projects, including an upcoming reality show.
"I sort of look at it as a blessing in disguise because my husband does have a project in the works, a reality show," Gebbia revealed to E!. "It's something that would give me the opportunity to work with him. I was contractually obligated for a three-year deal and if that's the case, I'm not anymore."
During the show Gebbia, who is married to David Gebbia, the owner of Stockcross Financial Services, clashed with Kyle Richards, who was convinced that Gebbia had placed a curse on her using dark magic and accused her of being an anti-Semitic. Gebbia is reportedly the first Wiccan to join the show.
Giraud is a model-actress and former Miss Puerto Rico, and is married to producer Michael Ohoven. She reportedly tried to bring drama during the season and butted heads with Lisa Vanderpump and Brandi Glanville on several occasions.
"I was slightly scared," Giraud told Nicole Magazine about her feelings on joining the reality show. "Specifically at the beginning when I saw that editing is a huge factor but I always remained true to myself and I think at the end of the day regardless of the editing the audience can see the real you."
The news comes after "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" veteran Lisa Vanderpump was reportedly considering leaving the reality show. According to the Huffington Post, Shiva Safai and "Real Housewives of Miami" star Joanna Krupa could be joining the cast for its fifth season, which is scheduled to premiere in this fall.
