Chris Brown is officially a free man.
According to the Associated Press, the singer was released from a Los Angeles jail after serving 108 days behind bars for a probation violation. The Los Angeles Sheriff's deputy Tony Moore told AP that Brown was released at 12:01 a.m. from the county's Inmate Reception Center Monday.
No further details were provided.
"Humbled and Blessed...Back to the Music and the Fans...Thank you GOD," Brown tweeted shortly after his release.
The troubled 25-year-old singer had been in jail since March, after being dismissed from rehab for bad behavior and violating the facility's rules. The court- ordered rehabilitation stay was part of a probation violation case in connection with a 2009 attack on his then-girlfriend, pop star Rihanna.
In May, Brown was ordered to remain in a Los Angeles jail after admitting to violating his probation. He was arrested and accused of punching a man outside his hotel in Washington last October. Brown was charged with misdemeanor assault.
L.A. Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin sentenced Brown to one year in jail but gave him credit for 234 days of time already served in jail and court-ordered rehab, which left Brown with 131 days to serve.
Brown will be required to submit to random drug testing at least three times a week. He is also required to see a Pasadena psychiatrist two times a week, attend outpatient therapy at least twice a week and complete his remaining hours of community service.
