Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" has released a new teaser featuring actress Glenn Close.
Close plays Nova Prime Rael in the upcoming Marvel flick. Close's spot in the teaser is short, but the leader of the Nova Corps has a commanding presence. You can check out latest trailer in the video below.
The teaser may be a sneak peak at Close's character, but fans are curious about Thanos' appearance in the franchise. The Latino Review first broke the news about actor Josh Brolin joining the production as the evil Thanos, who made his first Marvel cameo in "The Avengers" film.
"Thanos is a member of The Eternals, a group of god-like beings with immense power, far beyond that of humans. Thanos is referred to as the 'Mad Titan' in the comics for attempting to wipe out the entire human race with his Infinity Gauntlet, capable of manipulating, time, space, reality and even the human soul," The Latino Review reports.
"We don't know how big Thanos' plan is, but we know from Thor: The Dark World that The Collector is collecting powerful mystical objects that most speculate will make up the Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of the Infinity Gauntlet. If the Gauntlet is coming to screen, so is Thanos."
Brolin will be reportedly be voicing the character in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" film and the upcoming "Avengers" sequel. The details of Thanos' plans are still unknown, but he does have rumored ties to one of the Guardians in the film.
Vulture reports Thanos' is allegedly related to Gamora, Zoe Saldana's character in the Marvel film. An appearance will have a "Star Wars" feel to it in the first act of the film.
"Guardians of the Galaxy" stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper and will be released to theaters on Aug. 1.
