Camille Grammer's Ex Dimitri Charalambopoulos Suing for Defamation and Fraud Over 'Fabricated' Assault Claim

Former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Camille Grammer isn't happy about a grand jury's decision to dismiss felony assault charges against her ex-boyfriend Dimitri Charalambopoulos.

According to E! Online, the reality star was granted a three-year restraining order against Charalambopoulos in January, after she claimed that he attacked her in a Houston hotel room. Grammer said that Charalambopoulos repeatedly slammed her head and face into the hotel's furniture and "completely immobilized" her.

Grammer's lawyers presented pictures of her injuries as evidence, along with pictures of a smashed phone and clumps of hair which were reportedly pulled from her head. She claimed she was left bruised and battered after the alleged altercation.

However, a grand jury dismissed the charges against Charalambopoulos, stating that there was not enough evidence to continue the case against him.

"I was just shocked. I'm very disappointed," the reality star told E! News. "That said, I'm just so happy I'm in remission. I got a really good report from my doctor and that's the most important thing. We'll see what happens next. I am disappointed, but I'm going to put it in the past and move on."

In retaliation, Charalambopoulos is now suing the former reality star for defamation, malicious prosecution and fraud, adding that Grammer ruined his life.

He is claiming that Grammer, the ex-wife of actor Kelsey Grammer, made up the entire story. He also added that Grammer smudged her make-up and pulled hair from her hairbrush to make it look like she was attacked.

"We are delighted that he filed a lawsuit because we are already in the process of filing a civil lawsuit against him to pay for the damage he has caused," Grammer's lawyer told TMZ, "We look forward to court, where we will introduce forensic evidence clearly establishing his liability. It is surprising that someone who committed an assault would actually sue the victim."
