Rihanna Perfume Ad Banned in United Kingdom for Being 'Sexually Suggestive' and 'Provocative'

Rihanna has another sexy scandal on her hands.

A new ad for Rihanna's perfume Rogue has been banned in England for being too "provocative," according to the New York Daily News. The ad features a topless Rihanna wearing nothing but a pair of black heels, while resting her legs on a giant bottle of her fragrance.

The British Advertising Standards Authority said Wednesday that the image was too "sexually suggestive" and would be would be taken down from areas where children could possibly see them, including on the doors of an elevator inside a shopping center.

"While we did not consider the image to be overtly sexual, we considered that Rihanna's pose, with her legs raised in the air, was provocative," the ASA said in a statement, according to Daily Mail. "Because of this, and the fact that Rihanna appeared to be naked except for high heels, we concluded that the ad was sexually suggestive and should have been given a placement restriction to reduce the possibility of it being seen by children."

The ruling comes two days after the 26-year-old Barbadian singer donned a sheer flapper dress at the 2014 Council of Designer of America Awards (CFDA) at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York City. The dress bared all, including the singer's breasts and butt.

While accepting her fashion icon award at the CFDA event Rihanna said, "Growing up I didn't have a lot of access to fashion. But as far as I could remember, fashion has always been my defense mechanism. Even as a child I remember thinking, 'She can beat me, but she cannot beat my outfit.' And to this day, I mean, that is how I think about it."

The singer added that the rules in the fashion world "are meant to be broken."

Rihanna recently stopped using Instagram after being held responsible for posting several risqué photos.
