Taco Bell Launches Quesarito Burrito

Taco Bell's Quesarito hits the mexican fast food restaurant chain's menu Monday.

The quesadilla burrito combination is the company's biggest success since the Spicy Doritos lLocos Taco, according to a press release. The Quesarito is made with beef, rice, chipotle sauce and reduced fat sour cream. These contents are then wrapped in a grilled quesadilla with lots of cheese.

Taco Bell's chief marketing officer said the product is a stand-alone creation.

"We're constantly hearing stories about two great things coming together to create something extraordinary that takes on a life of its own," Chris Brandt said in a statement. "We have just that with the Quesarito, our latest mash-up of a full grilled cheese quesadilla wrapped around a classic burrito, making something so good that you can expect to see more flavor combinations down the road."

The Quesarito will be available with beef, chopped chicken, or steak, according to the press release. The seasoned beef has 650 calories, 34 grams of fat, and costs $1.99. Shredded chicken has 620 calories, 30 grams of fat, for $2.7. The steak quesarito contains 640 calories, 31 grams of fat for $2.99.

Taco Bell is also launching a television ad titled "Imagine" to promote the Quesarito Thursday. The Mexican fast food chain will also market the product through games on various online platforms, which are accessible on the company's social networking sites.

New food launches have kept the company busy. Taco Bell debuted its spicy chicken Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco May 8, according to a press release. This is their fourth kind of chip-and-taco product combination.

The food corporation introduced a breakfast menu March 26, which included the coveted Waffle Taco, A.M. Crunchwrap, breakfast burrito, grilled taco, and flatbread melt.

Taco Bell's 6,000 U.S. restaurants serve over 36 million customers a week.
