Ohio Mom Claims 'Slender Man' Obsessed Daughter Attacked Her With Knife

Less than two weeks after two Wisconsin girls brutally stabbed their friend to please the mythological "Slender Man," another attack has occurred that was allegedly fueled by the same demon-like character.

An Ohio mom said on Friday that her 13-year-old daughter was "someone else" when she attacked her with a knife inside the kitchen of their Hamilton County home, WLWT-TV reported.

"I came home one night from work and she was in the kitchen waiting for me and she was wearing a mask, a white mask," the woman, who wished to not be identified, told the station.

"She had her hood up and had her hands covered with her sleeves," she said.

The mother said her daughter had an obsession with the Slender Man, a horror character from the short story website creepypasta.com. Introduced in 2009, the character is described as a tall, faceless man with the power of teleportation.

In the past, the 13-year-old has written about demons, falling into darkness and other cryptic topics, the mother told WLWT-TV.

"We found things that she had written and she made reference to Slender Man. She also made references to killing."

The mother also said her daughter has a history of mental health issues but she never thought she would attack her. The mother received medical treatment for minor injuries including cuts to the neck, face and back.

The daughter is to be charged as a juvenile and is currently being held at the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center. The family is prohibited from discussing details of the case, the station reported.

On May 31, a 12-year-old girl was almost stabbed to death by two 12-year-old girls police say were influenced by the Slender Man. The girls told police they wanted to live with the Slender Man in the forest.

Both alleged attackers have been charged as adults with first-degree attempted homicide.
