The gaming world will have a re-mastered collection when Microsoft releases "Halo: The Master Chief Collection," on Nov. 11.
According to The Los Angeles Times, the release features the video game franchise's first four versions. The new offering will cost $59.99 and operate at a speed of 60 frames a second in 1080 pixel high definition. Gamers can access any of the media's levels right away, regardless of their experience level.
All of the games except "Halo 2" will operate on their own power. The second game in the series will have more sophisticated conditions. Users can also access the live-action game "Halo Nightfall", which is currently in production to become a movie.
The software giant announced the plans at the Electronic Entertainment Expo press conference Monday, which takes place at a Los Angeles, Calif., Convention Center Tuesday through Thursday. Many tech companies also spoke to reporters at the day-long function.
343 Industries general manager told The Times that the Microsoft game developer wanted to do more than just make an ordinary video game.
"When we first started 343, we made sure we actually paved and deepened the foundation of the universe," Bonnie Ross said. "I feel that's critical to have success and people loving the universe over the next 10-20 years. This is about a universe worthy of devotion, of being able to tell hundreds of stories. At 343 we put a ton of emphasis on the fiction, the foundation."
The game maker also intends to unveil "Halo 5: Guardians" as a new video game in 2015. The company obtained the Halo series from video game developer Bungie before Halo 4 came out in 2012.
Ross also told The Times the game features a plot in which one of the main characters, Master Chief is troubled. These conclude when he reminisces over Cortana, a holographic artificial intelligence computer program.
"He's searching for himself," Ross said. "He's at a point of self-reflection. He's not sure the UNSC are good or bad. He's not sure he wants to be who he is. After having his best friend sacrifice himself, it was a turning point. He was a hero, hero and hero. And now he's human. Who is he as a human?"
