Beyoncé and Jay Z weren't really missed at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding. Even though the world noticed that Bey and Jay were not present, Kris Jenner said that the couple's absence was "the last thing on anyone's mind."
According to US Weekly, Jenner appeared on the Australian radio station KIIS 106.5 on Tuesday, June 10 and was asked how she felt about the power couple bailing on the Florence, Italy wedding.
"There was so much commotion and excitement, I never really gave that a second thought," she told co-hosts Kyle and Jackie O. "If you had been there you would have thought that was the last thing on anyone's mind."
According to US, Beyoncé and Jay Z were supposed to attend the May 24 nuptials but declined the invite at the last minute. Instead, the two spent the Memorial Day weekend vacationing in the Hamptons. It's been speculated that they decided not to attend the wedding because of the Rachel Roy/Solange elevator drama.
"[I] just assumed they were working," Jenner added, admitting that the couple did decline their invite.
Just moments after Kardashian and West exchanged vows the "Drunk in Love" singer did give a shout-out to the newlyweds via Instagram writing, "Wishing you a lifetime of unconditional love. God bless your beautiful family."
Beyoncé and Jay Z were not the only ones who skipped Kimye's wedding. Anna Wintour declined her invite due to family obligations and Brody Jenner also decided to pass. Kardashian's brother, Rob, also bailed one the wedding.
The 27-year-old was seen leaving LAX airport in Los Angeles right before the ceremony was supposed to start in Italy. A source told TMZ at the time that Rob left Paris (where pre-wedding festivities were held) in tears because of "major family drama."
It was also rumored that Rob left because he didn't want to be in any wedding pictures because of his recent weight gain.
"Rob is working on himself," Jenner said during a June 5 interview on "TODAY." "He's going to be ok. A lot of prayer and, you know, he's such a great human being... he's my heart."
