Minnesota bounced back after losing Monday's game with a 4-0 shutout of Toronto on Tuesday. Twins second baseman Brian Dozier set the tone early in the first inning with a two-run homer, and Minnesota never looked back.

On the other side of the ball, Twins starting pitcher Kevin Correia earned his third win of the season after giving up zero runs on six hits through six innings.

Twins pitcher Phil Hughes (6-2, 3.46 ERA) is tasked on Wednesday with following up Correia's performance. He's coming off a Friday's home loss against Houston; he gave up five runs, including three homers, in the 5-4 defeat.

"I just wasn't making adjustments the way I have before," Hughes told the team website, via the Associated Press. "I didn't recognize it early enough to make some better pitched with the two-seamer or the cutter. I tried to generate some extra velocity and came out of my mechanics a little bit and just left some balls over the plate."

Hughes hasn't had much success at Rogers Centre, where he has a career 7.39 ERA and 1-4 record in his last seven starts.

Blue Jays rookie pitcher Marcus Stroman (3-0, 5.40 ERA) will oppose Hughes. Stroman has played well since joining Toronto's pitching rotation this season. He won both of his last two starts, in which he gave up just one run in each game while striking out 13 batters over the 12 innings pitched. He's coming off a 3-1 win on Friday against St. Louis.

"I have always felt that when guys get on, I feel I have been able to buckle down and really be at my best," Stroman told the Associated Press. "That's something I have always prided myself on."
