Jennifer Lopez and her boyfriend Casper Smart split two months ago, but the 44-year-old singer reportedly already has a new love interest. According to Media Take Out, Lopez has been linked to "Dancing With the Stars" hunk Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
A source told MTO that Lopez and Chmerkovskiy will make things official "any day now." Back in April there were reports that the two were spotted getting cozy at the Redbury Hotel in Los Angeles.
"As soon as she arrived after 10 p.m., she began flirting with Maks while sitting next to him on a couch," a source told Life & Style. "At one point, he put his arm around her waist and they seemed to be locked in a very passionate conversation."
The "I Luh Ya Papi" singer and Chmerkovskiy met a year ago at the 2013 American Music Awards. On June 6 news broke that Smart and Lopez had called it quits but a source told TMZ that the two had ended their relationship months ago.
They had been dating for over two years. A source told TMZ that Smart and Lopez "grew apart" but said the split was amicable. The source also said the breakup had nothing to do with allegations that Smart was cheating with a transgender.
"Casper has been a single guy and can text or see whoever he wants, but the idea that he was knowingly texting a transsexual is laughable," the source said. "He's not that guy."
Reportedly the former dancer is in the middle of moving his stuff out of Lopez's house while she's away promoting her latest album.
"It wasn't an easy decision, but they decided to stay friends," a source told US Weekly. "Their relationship couldn't work with the distance. He started trying to establish his own life and career, and she is so focused on hers, and they just couldn't be all about each other anymore."
According to People, Smart walked away from the relationship with some pretty expensive gifts. Lopez let the 26-year-old keep all the presents she bought him during the two-and-half years they were together.
"He gets to keep all the gifts that Jennifer bought him, including the customized truck that she gave him for his 25th birthday," the source said. "Jennifer has always been very generous and Casper has bags of things to move out."
