'Friends' Again, for Aniston's Co-host Gig

It's a promo clip that will get fans of "Friends" excited after a long, long time; too bad that it doesn't have anything to do with a reunion movie. Slated to join Ellen DeGeneres as a co-host on "Ellen" for a special episode on Wednesday night, Jennifer Aniston approached her erstwhile "Friends" co-star, Matthew Perry, to give her some advice. (Perry co-hosted the show on April 19 and was praised for his "very funny and stupid jokes" by DeGeneres.)

The promo clip begins with Aniston appearing announced at Perry's house at 8 in the morning and thus, catching him off-guard. The plot revolves around her discovering other people who are at Perry's house at that hour in the morning - Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, DeGeneres herself, and perhaps even Matt LeBlanc (who is unseen). She ruefully admits at the end that she should have called first. The clip has quite a few laughs for long-term followers of the show - Aniston refers to Matthew as "David" and slips into the familiar mannerisms of Rachel Green, and Cox and Perry are said to be having a clandestine affair, much like Monica Geller and Chandler Bing, their respective on-screen personas, did.

The special episode of "Ellen" will have Aniston talking about her new film "We're The Millers" with her friend, DeGeneres. The film, which is directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, also stars Jason Sudeikis; according to IMDb, he plays the role of a marijuana dealer who makes up a fake family as a subterfuge for his plan to smuggle a shipment into the US. The film is scheduled to be released in August this year.

The episode will also have as a guest, DeGeneres' wife Portia de Rossi, who was one of the stars of another iconic show "Arrested Development", that ended in 2006 after three seasons. Fans of this show, though, are elated as it is making a comeback. A fourth season of "Arrested Development" will be streamed on Netflix on May 26, with fifteen new episodes to be released all at the same time.
